The Current Between Us by Kindle Alexander | Review

the-current-between-us-kindle-alexanderThe Current Between Us is back and better than ever! The second edition of the hit book by Kindle Alexander is available now.

Confession time: I didn’t read the first edition. I’m pretty sure there’s a copy buried on my Kindle somewhere but I hadn’t gotten a chance to read it. So I can’t really attest to the differences between the original and this newer one.

But, man, did I love this edition!

Gage and Trent are the epitome of sweetness and sexiness. The way they care for, protect, and love each other was beautiful. There was a bit more instalove than I typically like but I didn’t feel as if I was cheated out of the buildup.

I’m a sucker for a cute kid in a book and this one had two! Hunter and Emalynn were show stealers!

The chemistry between Gage and Trent sparked right off the page. Every intimate encounter was enhanced with heart-flutteringly sweet emotions. If they hadn’t been so good together outside of the bedroom I never would have wanted them to leave!

I adored the post-epilogue snapshots of their life together. Knowing what happens after “The End” is something I always really enjoy.

Stuffed full of heart and steam, The Current Between Us was thoroughly enjoyable and heart-warming. Typical Kindle Alexander. 😉

Blurb:

Gage Synclair, international, hard-hitting investigative photojournalist, is preparing for the final special report of his career…a story of deception and murder six long years in the making. And after ten years in some of the worst parts of the world, he’s ready to settle life down and open an art gallery in his hometown of Chicago. The only thing getting in his way, he needs to find a competent electrician to finish the job before his grand opening.

Trent Cooper, electrical contractor, is surprised by the last minute request for a fast-paced electrical remodel, wanting nothing more than to get his foot in the door with Layne Construction. Being gay in the construction industry isn’t easy, nor is being father to his two young adopted children. Trent keeps his life in separate zones to avoid a short circuit. But when the gallery owner propositions him on the first day, Trent can’t help but think his worlds are a little too close for comfort.

Will their high-voltage passion spark everlasting love or will their lives break the circuit between them forever?
